100 Traders at Kramat Jati Market Take Rapid Test

If they are reactive, they will undergo a swab test

At least 100 traders at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta, underwent a rapid test in a humanitarian and law enforcement operation for COVID-19 violators, which was held by the East Jakarta Polda Metro assisted by Satpol PP and army, on Tuesday (12/29).

East Jakarta Metro Resort Police Chief Comr. Pol. Arie Ardian Rishadi said, on this occasion, officers monitored traders and shoppers. Those who did not use masks were immediately taken to the post and required to take a rapid test.

"If they are reactive, they will undergo a swab test," he stressed.

According to him, the Kramat Jati Market was targeted for operations as the mobility of the residents was quite high. Every day, many residents from outside Jakarta sent vegetables and fruits, that was why the potential for the disease is higher.

"It will be done for a week ahead. On the first day, we target 100 people," he explained.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Satpol PP Head Ali Amril added as many as seven personnel had been sent to the location.

"We are helping this activity to prevent the spread of the disease," he stated.
